I am sure all of you know by now but for those who don’t, Adobe has just released a FREE online version of photoshop.  This is great news for everyone; now you can have photoshop access on any browser, any platform, any time.  This is going to be a stripped down version, but for a lot of guys that don’t have photoshop or had their 30-day trial expire this is a great option.

Video games

So, I never really thought it would come to this, but I am honestly getting sick of playing Halo.  My level has just gotten to a point where I get owned.  I am looking for a new game to play, but really worry that nothing will fill my Halo need.   I mastered the game of Skate, which for those haven’t played it, it is an amazing game.  You literally can explore every nook and cranny of this virtual city.   And compared to Tony Hawk games of the past, this one takes a lot more skill.  In addition you also get to really trick out your gear.

Also, while at Blockbuster last week, they tried to get me to pre-order Grand Theft Auto 4.  Nobody dopes me into a pre-order! But regardless it really got me pumped for this game  to come out.  If you haven’t seen the trailer, I will fill you in, so they are finally taking GTA back to NYC, where you play a Russian badass.  Thats all I have to say about that. But, if anyone has any more info post it up in the comments.

vans reunion

Came across this Vans shoe on nicekicks website and it looks awesome.  Seems Vans is really done some cool stuff especially with the Neckface and Simpsons collab stuff we have seen.

It is pretty interesting. how some have changed drastically while others have barely changed at all.  My favorite though is Apple, even though the design has greatly improved, they have kept that light sense of humor all the way through.

Most of you probably familiar with our t-shirt buddies across the pond!  If you haven’t then go there now. No seriously go now.  Just kidding read my post first.  Anyways we have been doing a joint contest with them where the member (as in you) gets to submit a t-shirt design and a skateboard design.  I know you guys all want that skateboard trophy to hang on your wall, but now you also get to wear that trophy.  So, don’t forget to enter!

I am always on a million design blogs, movie blogs, fashion blogs, skating blogs, etc. and I come across a million things I want to go back too.  I used to do the fastest and laziest thing I could think of add them as a bookmark, seems like a great idea except now my bookmark thing takes about 30 seconds to scroll to the bottom.  So when I found out about this site http://www.instapaper.com I was pretty pumped.  I know a lot of you guys could probably use this as well.  You just put it on your toolbar and then everytime you find something you want to read later, you just click the button and it adds it to your instapaper account.

super dooper secret sale!

So, I am probably late on this announcement as most of you know today was the super dooper secret sale!  All boards were 30 dollars for a 24 hour stretch (still have 12 hours left!).  Just trying to do some spring cleaning, with the weather clearing up and a lot of special contest closing, it was time to move some old inventory.

Found myself on Nike Skateboarding looking around and next thing I know it an hour has gone by and I have found myself watching the most amazing skate videos.  Wouldn’t really expect anything short of amazing from Nike, but watching Prod, Todd Jordan and Danny Supa tearing it up is quite a show.

Decided was one of those nights you just have to eat unhealthy and cruised down to Al’s Italian Beef (Chicago’s Number 1 italian beef for those who don’t know), this has always been my favorite place and I was more amped up they opened one closer to me.  Was not to thrilled when Esquire blew up my spot in last months issue, but alas a gem this good was eventually going to be incovered.  If any of you want see the definition of sloppy then see below and don’t be fooled there is an italian suasage in there as well.   But, I held off on the blue cheese covered fries.

Wait back to skateboarding….kinda! So, if you can’t tell we are big foody’s over here, and as I can tell you guys love skateboard design.  Was watching my favorite cake magician, Duff Goldman on Ace of Cakes on the food network, and he had Kris Markovich the great skateboarder AND skateboard designer.  Lets just say Duff didn’t let Kris go home without a smile on his face and a full stomach (sorry had to do it!).    So, apparently Kris’s wife told him he was coming to Baltimore to sign some decks and skate around, but the Duffster and his crew presented him with an amazing cake replication of one of his decks.  In true Popdeck Blog fashion, we got the clip for you down below.
